It’s wine time again

February 15, 2012 by

On Friday, April 16th, 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm, Issaquah residents will once again be able to enjoy the local wine walk. This is a “first Friday” event that takes place in downtown Issaquah. This event is fun and those who have attended in the past enjoyed meandering down Front Street and stopping to sample the various wines presented to them through local boutiques.

This is a very well received event and couples are encouraged to participate, as there is nothing more romantic than walking through the street lit sidewalks and stopping to have a little sip and visit with others who are enjoying a fine vintage. And, why not make a night of it and book a romantic table for two at one of the many restaurants in the core area.

A portion of the proceeds from this event go to the DIA, Downtown Issaquah Association, as well as some valued not for profit partners. The partners for 2012 include the Village Theatre, ArtEast, and FISH. The Downtown Issaquah Association promotes cultural and historic business in the downtown core with various improvement initiatives and an assortment of activities all designed to promote economic growth, so come out and support this organization and keep Issaqauh’s downtown alive.

Tickets have been prepared by the local printing company and are now on sale for $20 each at the Downtown Issaquah Association, which is located at 232 Front Street, Issaquah. For a complete listing of the wines being samples or additional information on this great event, call 425-391-1112.
