Issaquah Hobby and Volunteer Expo

April 21, 2012 by

On Saturday, April 28th Issaquah will be hosting the Hobby and Volunteer Expo at the Pickering Barn located at 1730 10th Avenue NW in Issaquah, Washington. This event will take place from 9am to 2pm.

This expo has been designed to help the hobby seeker and enthusiastic volunteer find interests and events they would like to be involved with. This annual event has netted some fantastic results during the prior years and this year’s promises to be bigger and better than ever. In this event, hobby groups and community programs come together looking for people with similar interests that they can add to their group. This also allows all groups attending to network with one another. This expo targets people of all ages and interests. There is something for everyone. This year more than thirty-five groups have already registered to participate and there is a really good mix of volunteer groups and hobby groups looking for new members. The majority of the groups in attendance will have interactive demonstrations, activities, and learning opportunities. Some groups will also offer books, schedules, maps, and training materials that may have been prepared by local print companies.

At this event, guests will learn about what volunteer groups are involved with, what recreational activities are available in the area, and how to do the various projects. Many of the groups will have completed some brochure printing projects that outline what their group has to offer. This is also a great opportunity for guests to network and make many new friends.

This event is free and everyone is invited to attend. For additional information about this event, please visit the Hobby and Volunteer Expo’s website or call Cathy Jones at 837-3317.
