Hospital to receive boost from Friday gala

The Swedish/Edmonds Imagine Gala is coming up tomorrow Lynnewood. Presented by the Swedish Medical Center Foundation, funds from this year’s event will go to build a new, more advanced emergency department at the hospital.

The Swedish Medical Center is located in Seattle and one of its major programs is the Charity Care program, which provides free or low-cost hospital care for the public.

The gala is set to feature a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment. Guests will have the choice of three entrees, one of them vegetarian. Interested members of the public can receive printed information (such as a catalog) about the gala by requesting it on the foundation’s website.

It is very likely that businesses throughout the area, including nearby Everett, have donated to the auctions, and contributions might include such prizes as travel and sports packages, gift certificates, and art work. Often, when businesses donate items, they invest in services like flyer printing from local print companies to let their current customers know that they are active in the community, and to publicize the events. They can then insert the flyer into regular company mailings.

The Swedish/Edmonds Imagine Gala is being held at the Lynnewood Convention Center tomorrow, November 15, beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $150 each or $1,500 for a table of 10, and a sponsored 10-person table is available for $2,500. The dress code is semi-formal. To learn more about the event, call 206-386-2738.
