Film festival makes its way to Everett

On Thursday, May 24, starting at 9:00 am, an eight day presentation of the 38th Annual Seattle International Film Festival commenced at at the Village Theatre – Everett Performing Arts Center located at 2710 Wetmore Avenue in Everett, Washington.

The Seattle International Film Festival will continue in Everett until next Thursday, May 31, with the schedule launching at 9:00 am every day. SIFF is the biggest and best-attended film festival in the country and this year, the festival will be showing more than 400 films from more than 60 different countries. The genres for this year’s entries include Creative Streak, Face the Music, Give Me Drama, I Didn’t Know That, Love Me Do, Make Me Laugh, Sci-Fi and Beyond, Show Me the World, Thrill me, To the Extreme, and many others that will take you from the fun comedy experience through to the exotic, faster paced productions. SIFFter also has an easy-to-use search tool, which is visual and will allow guests to sift through the 400 films being shown to help them narrow down their choices based on their interests and preferences. It is also available on iSIFF, which is a fantastic iPhone application.

Banner printing and postcard printing have probably been chosen methods for promoting this exciting new event in Everett. Tickets to most of the films are $11, although there are discounts for matinee viewings, students, and seniors, as well as SIFF members.
