Fashion and art come together at Cole Gallery
October 20, 2012 by Sarah
Cole Gallery has unveiled its new exhibit entitled ‘Harajuku Street Fashion Meets Fine Art’ and brings to life Michael Fitzpatrick’s most recent works in an astounding showcase of figurative oils. This artist’s work will no doubt have guests standing and admiring the artwork founded in Harajuku street fashion district.
Fitzpatrick, an artist whose works are highly complex, is based in California and this is his first appearance at Cole Gallery. The showcase being featured at this premier exhibit includes a new collection of playful and decorative abstracted works inspired by the street fashions in the Harajuku streets and includes elements of the modern punk era, as well as the more traditional schoolgirl innocence.
Visitors will see the stunning painting ‘A Day in a Life’ – a character portrayal of colorful Harajuku girls – as well as many other works that portray contemporary street fashions with bright, bold colors. His work is rather playful and inspires the mind to travel into the whimsical side of life.
Brochure printing, postcard printing, poster printing, and flyer printing are likely used to promote this exhibition to the public. Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend and view these wonderful works of art. Michael Fitzpatrick’s work will be on display up until November 11, during regular business hours, at the Cole Gallery in Edmonds, Washington, which is about half an hour’s drive from Everett.
