Everett makes Christmas spectacular

December 5, 2016 by

As Christmas inches ever closer, many Everett residents are getting ready to take a break from writing holiday cards to go visit the 16th Annual Christmas Spectacular. Combining fun holiday themes and good deeds for a festive celebration of the season.

The theme of the performance is ‘Christmas Music Down Through the Ages’, and it’s meant to reflect upon the feelings that parents and children share during this time of year. Featuring a lot of local talent including Christmas Spectacular veterans, as well as showcasing some new voices, the performance will highlight both classic carols and songs devoted to celebrating the American spirit and the feeling of sharing.

The idea of sharing goes a little further than just the music, however; the event organizers hope to motivate visitors to help out in the community by sharing the gift of food and essentials to those in need this year. As such, a donation of five cans of food is requested with each ticket, to be donated to the local food bank. Additionally, some of the proceeds from the event go to support the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Washington and Alaska.

The Christmas Spectacular will be held on December 18 at the Everett Civic Auditorium, located at 2415 Colby Ave. Tickets are $20 a person. Anyone interested in pre-ordering tickets or other information should visit the website.
