Mayor to use breakfast meeting to allude to future plans
December 7, 2013 by James
Bellingham Mayor Kelli Linville will be delivering her State of the City Address at a breakfast meeting next month. The event is a presentation of the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is part of its speaker series.
The mayor will discuss highlights of her administration’s past year, including plans for the redevelopment of the waterfront. She will also, no doubt, be discussing the economic health of the community and ways in which government and business officials can work together to find solutions.
This event is likely to be excellent opportunity for local businesspersons to network with their peers and city government officials. It is only one of the many networking events that the chamber sponsors; there are also monthly breakfast meetings and a number of “business after business” events.
It is likely that several of those planning to attend the breakfast will be investing in business card printing from their preferred Bellingham printing company, since both traditional and digital business cards are likely to change regularly due to the networking nature of the event.
The State of the City Address will take place at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club on January 24 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. Tickets are $35 for non-chamber members. To find out the member rate, or for more information, call the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber at 360-734-1330. Further details of this and other similar events can be found on the Chamber’s website as well.
