Locals to be enlightened on solar power benefits
April 10, 2013 by Mark
‘Put Sunshine in Your Wallet’ is a program taking place this evening and is designed to save homeowners money by promoting awareness about new solar options that are available.
No doubt the focus of local informational flyer printing, this event is being sponsored by the Community Energy Solutions, a non-profit whose mission is to promote clean energy and part of the ‘Go Solar Bellingham II’ program.
The program is for people living in the zip codes 98225 – 98229. Some of its benefits include free site assessment, campaign discounts, free education workshops, one of the nation’s best incentive programs in the state, and savings on sales tax, as well as supporting the local economy. Guests who attend will have the opportunity to tour iTek Energy, a local solar module and manufacturer. Also, Western Solar is to donate a solar panel to an organization in need every time a sale is made, while it supports the Habitat for Humanity Watcom County program as well. During this informative evening, guests will learn much about today’s solar energy systems and what they can do to keep the planet green. Registration for this event, which is required, is available online.
This educational evening is free to everyone living in the appropriate areas, although registration is required. The ‘Put Sunshine in Your Wallet’ workshop will be held tonight, April 10, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bellingham Public Library. To learn more, please visit the Go Solar Washington website.
