An Evening of Dance with the Bellingham Ballet

June 9, 2012 by

On Saturday, June 9th Ballet Bellingham will present “An Evening of Dance” at the Mount Baker Theatre located at 104 north Commercial Street in Bellingham, Washington. This beautiful performance will begin at 7:00pm.

This year, the Ballet Bellingham will offer two stunning performances in the same evening that will feature everything from modern dance to fairy tales. During the first performance, the student cast will present a light-hearted, one act, children friendly classic fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel” comprised of original choreography by the talented Artistic Director, Jessica Crook. This play has a wonderful musical score and the ballet flows freely, letting the audience’s mind run wild with imagination. Children attending this event will see one of their favorite fairy tales come to life and be able to experience the emotion of the piece.

During the second performance, the Ballet Bellingham dancers will present several original pieces, which have been choreographed by Crook and will feature the advanced dance students of the school. These pieces will range from contemporary to modern rock and will show an energetic 50”s type of ballet. The audience will enjoy sensational music, superb dance numbers, and exceptional choreography. Tickets purchased online for this event are subject to additional fees.

Postcard printing and other printing services may have been used to promote this special ballet event.

Tickets for this event are $10 per person. Advanced reservations are accepted and tickets will be mailed out with no additional charges. For more information on this event, please visit the Mount Baker Theatre website or call 360-734-6080.
