The Bellevue Festival of the Arts will be celebrating its 28th year this summer. The juried festival encompasses 180 artisans and craftspeople from around the Northwest and beyond. Enjoying a prime downtown location just north of Bellevue Square, the annual event takes place the last weekend in July—this year the 27th – 29th.
The Festival is organized by the Craft Cooperative of the Northwest to provide an equitable venue in which to support artists and craftspeople. Proceeds of the festival are donated to local shelters, food banks, health clinics, the Lifelong AIDS Alliance, youth programs, Craft Emergency Relief Fund, Solar Cookers International, Potters for Peace, Vajrayana Dharma Foundation , and an education program in India.
Applications are selected by a panel of artist peers who are ever mindful of their obligation to fellow artists, the local community, as well as the larger global community.
Artist applications are due by Feb. 15 so time is running out to design or update your booth. Booth fees range from $600 – $1,400, depending on size and location. Local printing companies can help with banner printing, poster printing, catalog printing, and a host of other print services to assist artists in assembling an effective and eye-catching display booth.
The downloadable application requires three high quality jpg images of your work, one jpg image of your booth, and a thumbnail image for use on the festival website.
