Utah Symphony to sweep into Orem
June 20, 2012 by Sarah
On Monday, June 25, the Utah Symphony Under the Stars and Stripes will take place at the Scera Cultural Arts Center, Scera Shell Outdoor Theatre, located at 699 South State Street, in Orem, Utah. This event begins at 8:00 pm.
In keeping with the traditional 4th of July celebration, the Utah Symphony Under the Stars and Stripes will perform many of the traditional favourites from Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Star Wars Suite, Alford’s Colonel Bogery March, and several other famous themes, finishing with the patriotic Star Spangled Banner, as well as an Armed Forces Salute. Vladimir Kulenovic will conduct this evening performance for one of the finest and most well-known orchestras within the continental United States, if not the world, while serenading those in attendance with beauty and instrumental power against the panoramic scenery of the Wasatch Mountain range. This is a great opportunity to experience the finest musical treasure during this rare visit to the state. This is a rain-or-shine performance, so guests are reminded to dress for the weather and to bring a lawn chair, blanket, or sweater for the cooler evening hours.
Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise this rare event, the likes of which are always likely to appeal to a large and discerning audience. Admission ranges from between $14 – $20 for adults, $12 -$18 for students and seniors, and children aged under 3 are free. For more information, please visit the Scera Cultural Arts Center website or call the center.
