Orem’s Arts in the Park Set To Wow Thousands
April 29, 2012 by James
Arts in the Park is calling all artists in Orem, Utah this June 8th and 9th to celebrate the night and art. The event will showcase roughly a dozen artists’ work, and is open to the 90 thousand residents of Orem to appreciate art in the community in an effort to inspire, entertain and energize the masses through it.
This year marks the 5th year of Arts in the Park, and all indications are that it is going from strength to strength. The festival has been arranged to coincide with the city’s Summerfest celebrations. Showcasing music, a five kilometre fun run, boutiques, food and other festivities, Summerfest attracts tens of thousands of guests thanks to being situated near Salt Lake City and making excellent use of promotional tools such as banner and poster printing.
Musicians, dancers and actors are also lined up to take the stage to entertain the crowd in a series of free concerts, and a huge firework display will round things off with a bang. For something more sedate, beautiful baby contests will be held, and a car show should satisfy any petrolheads attending the festival.
Organizers are still seeking artists, performers and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of Arts in the Park. Anyone interested in donating their time or taking to the stage to share their talents with thousands have just enough time to apply via the city’s website, which is accepting submissions up to and including April 30th.
