Wilsonville seeks out actors for a peach of a role

January 31, 2013 by

A casting call has been issued in Wilsonville inviting actors to attend and apply for parts being sought for the presentation of ‘James and the Giant Peach’. Those interested are advised that parts are not paid and are strictly voluntary, but it still represents an excellent chance to appear in a performance of Roald Dahl’s classic tale.

The Wilsonville Theatre will be auditioning by cold readings only and actors are requested to bring a head shot photo, as well as a resume, although neither is a mandatory requirement. There are also positions open for sound and lighting technicians, and applications will be accepted during the audition period. This production has parts available for all ages, and people are invited to come as early as possible, as the audition period is not very long.

The story tells the tale of a young boy who is given a tough time by his two unpleasant aunts, but his life is changed for the better when an exceptionally large peach grows in the garden and the boy befriends the bugs living inside it.

The cost to attend this event is free and all actors are invited to come and try out for a part. Auditions will be held on Friday, February 8, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Frogpond Grange Hall located at 27350 SW Stafford Road in Wilsonville, Oregon.
