Wilsonville has festive fun to look forward to
November 28, 2012 by Sarah
Christmas is well on its way and with it comes an annual Wilsonville tradition that celebrates bringing in the jolly season. The ‘Holiday Fun Fest’ is sponsored by the Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Department and features a number of interesting activities for the whole family, including a visit with Jolly Old St. Nick, so the old Christmas wish list should not be left at home on the day.
This year, guests are invited to bring the kids out and enjoy the festivities at the Community Center. Everyone will be able to design and build their very own ‘Graham Cracker’ Gingerbread House containing loads of delicious candies. Each house can be decorated with tons of candy. While at the Holiday Fun Fest, a visit with Santa is a must, not forgetting a camera to make for lasting Christmas memories. For a professional touch, families might even consider taking their photos to a printing company in the local area.
During this event, hot cocoa and cookies will be supplied for everyone to enjoy over the course of two-full hours of seasonal fun, holiday music, and gingerbread jolliness.
Admission to the event is free, although the cost is $5 for each gingerbread home built. The Holiday Fun Fest will be happening on Thursday, December 20, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Community Center located at 7965 SW Wilsonville Road in Wilsonville, Oregon. For additional details, please visit the Wilsonville Parks and Recreation website or call Brian Stevenson at 503-570-1523 during business hours.
