Wilsonville folk to get a fun fix
July 31, 2012 by Sarah
This is the 11th annual festival and evolved from Wilsonville’s Celebration Days. This festival is possible courtesy of the businesses, civic groups, and churches in the community. Featuring crafts for all attendees to create, there will also be animals, birds, reptiles, body art, live entertainment, learning, demonstrations, big muscle attractions, professional entertainers, skill games and sports, and food galore.
At the festival, a number of organizations and groups provide activities in each of the aforementioned categories, so a visit to the website will provide the people planning to attend with a detailed schedule of the types of events and times. It has been designed to cater to those who are “young at heart”, so there will be a number of goody bags, prizes, and products given out to people who visit the booths. Free parking is available, although quite often the area is congested, so the organizers recommend using the SMART transit system or carpooling. ‘Roving Revelers’ will also be entertaining on the grounds, comprising of balloon twisters, impersonators, jugglers, clowns, and other talents.
Poster printing and flyer printing, perhaps using local print companies, may have been used to promote this fun-packed event to everyone in the area. Admission to this event is free and the entire family is welcome. For more information, please visit Fun in the Park’s website.
