The upcoming Retta Christie Trio Concert will feature the outstanding sounds of the vocalist and is being presented as part of the Library Stacks program, which promotes local musicians by offering a variety of musical genres and a good time for all ages. It is just the sort of event for which poster printing is often used to garner greater attention.
Strong lyrician Christie is joined by her fellow band members Dave Frishbery and David Evans as they present a selection of music from blues to pop songs. Songs that may be heard include ‘My Mother’s Eyes’, ‘Neath the Purple on the Hills’, ‘You Always Hurt the One You Love’, and ‘For All We Know’.
Song styles bounce between country and jazz, and this combination has helped them build a sizeable following. They are currently in the process of putting together a second album of their popular pieces, which will no doubt please their fans.
This is a free show and everyone is welcome to attend. The Retta Christie Trio Concert will be occurring on Saturday, March 8, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Wilsonville Public Library, in the Oak Room, located at 8200 SW Wilsonville Road in Wilsonville, Oregon. To reserve a seat or to find out more, please visit the library’s website or call it during normal hours.
