Tigard looks to the skies this June
May 30, 2013 by Mark
Next month’s Festival of Balloons in Tigard is set to be a great family event filled with all types of activities for people of all ages.
The highlight of this festival, of course, is the array of hot air balloons that will be gracing the sky on this special weekend. Poster printing, flyer printing, and other printing services by local printing companies have probably been among the promotional tools for highlighting this festival to people in Tigard and the surrounding regions.
During this weekend, families will enjoy a number of events and activities, including a carnival, great food, the Twilight 5K run, crafts, commercial exhibitors, the Festival of Cars, the GameTime Fun Zone, corn and rib eating contest, a youth soccer tournament, and Rogue Beer. Night Glow and the hot air balloon launches are weather permitting events.
The balloons will be launching in the early morning hours between 5:15 am and 6:15 am on the day. There will be live entertainment on the Frontier’s main stage, as well as cotton candy, clowns, and a whole bunch more to enjoy. Proceeds from this event go to Tigard High School Boosters, among other groups. To see a complete list of where the proceeds go, please visit the website.
Admission to this festival is free and everyone is welcome. The Festival of Balloons will be occurring from Friday, June 21, until Sunday, June 23 at Cook Park in Tigard, Oregon. To learn more, visit the Tigard Balloon Festival website or call 503-612-8213.
