Farmers’ market soon to open for the season
April 30, 2013 by Mark
The Season Opener of the Tigard Area Famers’ Market tends to be eagerly anticipated every year in the community. The market brings together local farmers, non-profit groups, and the community to enjoy local produce, flowers, and plants. Poster printing, banner printing, and flyer printing have probably all been used to mark this season opener for residents in this community and the surrounding rural area.
With winter now behind us, the local farmer’s market is a place where families can enjoy shopping for fresh and locally grown vegetables, fruits, and other produce. With food, crafts, plants, and products among the vendors’ offerings, there will also be several non-profit groups with their informational booths and items for sale.
The Tigard Farmers’ Market provides a gathering place for people in this community, where friends and family can come together and enjoy produce that is organic, fresh, and tasty. While visiting with the vendors, people have the opportunity to learn about how their food is grown and talk with all the people who make the wonderful crafts. It is a great time to visit, since Mother’s Day is just around the corner.
Admission to the opener of the market is free and everyone in the area is welcome. It will get underway on Sunday, May 12, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Tigard Farmers’ Market located at 11831 SouthWest Pacific Highway in Tigard, Oregon.
