Portland’s prepared for its yuletide highlight
November 29, 2013 by Mark
Christmas at the Victoria Mansion has been one of the season’s highlights in Portland in previous years, and this year’s theme is ‘Joy to the World’. Postcard printing may have been used to promote this exciting event, which has run for the last three decades, to the people of Portland and surrounding communities.
Again this year, the designers who work behind the scenes have prepared the Victoria Mansion with holiday décor and historic costumes from various countries around the world. A period piece taking the style of the Victoria era allows people to step back in time and observe a period known for its style and spirit.
Each room in this exquisite mansion is a sight to behold and should make for a memorable experience for the entire family. As part of the fun, the mansion will provide guided tours with experienced marshals who tell them about the mansion and the holiday periods being explored. As a special bonus, guests can visit the Carriage House Museum Shop free of charge, where they can view and select unusual Victorian holiday decorations and gifts.
Prices vary depending on age and groups, but can be viewed online. The Christmas at the Victoria Mansion tours will begin today, November 29, from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Victoria Mansion located at 109 Danforth Street in Portland, Oregon. To learn more about this mansion, or the holiday tours, please visit the Victoria Mansion website or call itsoffice at 772-4481.
