Christmas brings good elf to Portland

The upcoming ‘Santaland Diaries’ presents an interesting look at David Sedaris true chronicles about the times he portrayed ‘Crumpet the Elf’ for Macy’s, as part of its Santaland display. During this performance, guests will meet some of the truly unique people that Crumpet, as well as some of the experiences he shared with his fellow man.

The setting for this production is during the height of the busy Christmas shopping season at Macy’s Department Store. Darius Pierce has the part of ‘Crumpet’ and, through his interaction with people passing by, he shares the sometimes funny, sometimes dramatic, and sometimes mystical people and events that he came across while he stands in the window. The audience will enjoy this look at what humans do when they think nobody is around to see them do it.

David Sedaris is a best-selling author and an extremely funny humorist. Some of his book titles include ‘Your Family in Corduroy and Denim’, and ‘When You Are Engulfed in Flames’. His hilarious account of this story has become a traditional favorite in the region.

Poster printing, flyer printing, and brochure printing may have been used to remind this community and the surrounding regions that the production is coming up soon. Tickets range from $39 to $59, depending on seating selection. The Santaland Diaries will be performed from Thursday, November 27, until Sunday, December 30 at the Gerding Theatre at the Armory located at 128 N.W. 11th Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
