Annual festival celebrates popular culture

The Heroes and Villains Fan Fest is taking place next month in Portland over two days.

The festival is a celebration of comic book-inspired creativity, and this year will feature several guest stars from this year’s most popular TV shows and movies. Among those who are slated to appear at this year’s festival include John Barrowman and Stephen Amell from ‘Arrow’, Michael Rooker from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, and Milo Ventimiglia of ‘Gotham’.

There will be photo opportunities with the stars, panel discussions on various themes, and a dealers’ room featuring related merchandise such as DVDs, action figures, comic book, graphic novels, and costumes.

Taking place concurrently will be the Walker Stalker Con, which is dedicated to horror, science fiction and fantasy. Guests will be admitted free with a Heroes and Villains Fan Fest pass.

Dealers participating in this year’s event may decide to contact their favorite Portland printing company to order banners and signage to make their booths stand out.

The Heroes and Villains Fan Fest will be held at the Oregon Convention Center from June 24 to 25. Two-day passes are $90 each, a Saturday pass is $55, and a Sunday pass costs $45. VIP tickets are also available and include autographs, photographs, and early admission.
