Ellen White Duo appears at the Oregon City Library

Songstress and songwriter Ellen Whyte is an artist who has few difficulties shifting from one genre of music to another and will be performing as part of the Ellen Whyte Duo in Oregon City tomorrow evening.
For more than 30 years, this exciting performer has fronted for a number of bands and has had four critically-acclaimed albums, including her newest release. Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this singer has been captivated by the music she heard around her. After retiring from her marching band days, Whyte spread her wings and began singing jazz, blues, rock, gospel, and bluegrass. She has very diverse tastes in music and some of her favorite artists include Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell, Ella Fitzgerald, and Ray Charles.
Known for her masterful guitar work complementing her astonishing voice, Whyte has received a number of awards and was considered for two Grammys in 1999.
During this performance, library services will not be available to the public, but those it attendance are sure to be charmed by the duo’s performance. Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise this performance to the community and surrounding communities. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
