November 22, 2013 by Max
The Clayfolk Show and Sale is an event set to features exhibitions and workshops for the whole family to enjoy this weekend.
As a prelude to the holiday shopping season, this showcase has a large selection of original gift items, and no doubt their vendors will be equipped with digital business cards as they look to make a name for themselves in the area.
At this year’s show, there will be more than 65 artists participating, with a large collection of wares for sale. Many of the pieces up for grabs are functional, whereas others are more sculptural and large in size, making them suitable in the guest’s home or garden as a focal point.
The show opens tonight, and there will be live musical entertainment and light refreshments available. Saturday and Sunday will see a kids’ ‘play with clay’ area and demonstrations by the various artisans showing techniques like sculpting, throwing, and hand building.
This is the 38th year the event has taken place and guests are invited to meet the artisans, attend the workshops to take notes, and to enjoy the creative process, while having questions answered. This year’s show features a holding table for larger pieces and baskets for carrying treasures.
There is no cost to attend this show and everyone is invited. It takes place at the Medford Armory located at 1701 South Pacific Highway in Medford, Oregon, getting underway at 4:00 pm today. To find out more information about this show and sale, please visit the Clayfolk Organization website.
