Market to run until October

July 21, 2012 by

Every Saturday from now until October 27, the Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters Market will be taking place on the NE corner of Central Street and 3rd Street in downtown Medford, Oregon, occurring between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.

This market is located in the beautiful downtown core of the community and features locally produced fruits, vegetables, and flowers, as well as baked goods, gourmet foods, and handcrafted artisan products. The majority of the farmers who participate in this market use sustainable growing methods, as well as natural growing techniques.

This market began with a handful of interested farmers and artisans back in 1987 and, in 1991, it moved to a new location under the Water Street Bridge. It has grown immensely since and there are now more than 100 vendors who show up to sell their wares to the local buyers every week. Today, there is also a manager who handles the rental and placement of the various booths. After the opening each day, the manager is available to answer questions and share upcoming events and information with the public. Today, the market features Middle Eastern, Japanese, Portuguese, Greek and many other national cuisines. In order to enter this market, the vendors are juried to ensure that the quality is maintained.

Poster printing and brochure printing may be used to promote this marketplace to the consumers located throughout the area. Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome. For more information, please visit the Rogue Valley Growers’ website.
