Beaverton Symphony Orchestra’s “Spring Concert” is being held from Friday, March 9th and Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at the Village Baptist Church, 330 SW Murray Blvd., Beaverton, Oregon. Friday’s performance will take place at 7:30 pm and Sunday’s performance will take place at 3:00 pm.
The Beaverton Symphony Orchestra initially was known as the Beaverton Chamber Symphony when Dr. Charles Encell founded it back in 1984 following his belief that amateur musicians were more than capable of playing great music that could entertain the community at a reasonable price. This group continues to do delight the residents of Beaverton today.
The spring concert is one of the highlights of this community, only challenged in attendance by the yearly fall concert. Residents support this endeavor and generally pack the house, so to speak. There is not usually an empty seat and everyone sits mesmerized as they listen to the melodic sounds that echo off the Village Church walls. It is truly a wonderful way to spend some quality time with family. This year’s spring concert features a combination of variety of instrumental tunes, as well as some of the oldies and goodies that everyone enjoys.
This year’s spring concert tickets have return from the printing company and are available for sale at the door, so don’t be late. A single show ticket will cost you $10 for an adult, $5 for seniors and students, and you can bring the whole family for as little as $20…. What a great deal, so why not bring everyone.
