Hot August Nights 2013 open for registration

January 28, 2013 by

One of the largest events in the Reno and Sparks areas in Northern Nevada, Hot August Nights is now accepting registration for participation in this August’s six-day event.

The car show is open to cars made in America in 1972 or earlier, including trucks and emergency vehicles. European car classics may participate as well. Many exciting events take place during the weeklong event, including Show-n-Shine competitions. The main competition, Saturday’s Celebrity Choice, is held on the Saturday night. Local dignitaries and celebrities are escorted throughout the designated areas in downtown Sparks and Reno to the Grand Sierra Resort, where the winner will be selected. Without established rules for judging, the judges select the winner strictly on personal taste, with trophies to be presented on the Sunday. The winners will lead the Grand Finale Parade.

Registration is currently being accepted online via the Hot August Nights website. Registration will include one event T-shirt, one hat, and two passes for participants.

As this is one of the largest events in Northern Nevada, an enormous amount of planning takes place to ensure its success. It is likely that printing companies will work diligently in preparing print materials to promote the event, as well as coordinate the activities through banner printing and other signage during the show. Banner printing is an essential part of providing directional information for all to see.

The event this year will be held August 6 – 11 and will involve many hotels and merchants throughout the Reno and Sparks areas. For more information, visit the event website.
