AMC Rambler Club holds annual convention in Sparks

June 1, 2012 by

The AMC Rambler Club will be holding its 33rd annual national convention in Sparks on June 21 – 24, 2012 at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. Vintage American car enthusiasts will have the opportunity to show and view several types of vehicles including AMC, Nash, Metropolitan, Ramble, and Hudson cars. Jeep vehicles manufactured from 1970-1987 will also be on display.

There is no charge for vendors to participate. They simply have to preregister with the AMCRC and, with several vendors expected to participate, as well as exhibitors, Sparks printing companies will probably be busy handling print services for banners, posters, flyers, and business cards.

The event is being held at the Sparks Victorian Plaza with early check-in scheduled for Thursday night from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Individual chapter meetings will be held informally on this day as well.

The Sparks Farmers’ Market is held in the same area every Thursday from 4:00 pm –8:00 pm, with farmers selling fresh produce, fruit, nuts, and other seasonal products. Since there are no scheduled events for Thursday night, visitors can enjoy visiting the farmers’ market. Entertainment, arts, crafts and beverages are provided at the event as well. Since this is a regular weekly occurrence, a lot of planning goes into these farmers’ markets and print companies play a big part in providing their services.

A guided tour of the local National Automobile Museum is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m on the Friday. The rest of the weekend will be packed with cruising, meetings, swap meets, and car shows. For more information on this event, visit the AMCRC website.
