Wildest, richest rodeo in the West comes to Reno
June 2, 2012 by Mark
The annual Reno Rodeo is scheduled from June 16 – 25, 2012, at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association sanctions the event, with approximately 750 professional athletes competing for the prize money of $500,000. Events include bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, bronco riding, and barrel racing.
Attendance is expected to exceed 140,000 people with anticipated regional revenues reaching $42,000,000 within the retail, food, beverage, hotel, and casino industries.
The Reno Rodeo is a non-profit event supported by about 400 volunteers. Formed in 1986 for the purpose of donating to educational scholarships, school programs, and other local charities, the organization has donated over five million dollars to these various entities to date. So far this year, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has donated approximately $400,000 to the local community.
Many individual shows, performances, and contests take place which are open to the public throughout the rodeo. Vendors will be present, featuring their goods and services. Carnival rides and other favorite kids’ activities will be included on each day of the rodeo.
Reno printing companies have been called upon for brochure printing, in addition to other print services such as banners, flyers and business cards. With so many activities and events scheduled simultaneously during the nine-day rodeo, print companies are bound to be kept very busy in fulfilling print orders.
There are a range of packages available and prices depend on the date of the event. For more information on the rodeo, either visit the Reno Rodeo website or call 775-329-3877.
