The Eldorado Hotel and Casino in Reno will host the 18th annual BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival on June 21 – 22. This Northern Nevada event is extremely popular and attracts visitors from far and wide.
Touted as the unofficial kick-off to the summer season, the event will offer a BBQ block party, a musical festival with two stages, and a micro-brew tasting activity. An array of food items will be on BBQ including chicken, sausage, and ribs. The food booths will be all along Virginia Street in downtown Reno.
The much anticipated entertainment will include three prestigious acts: Blood Sweat and Tears has been performing for over 40 years and was arguably the first band to combine rock and jazz. The group will be on the Fourth Street Stage at 4:15 pm.
Dating back to the 80s MTV days and coming through the indie rock and punk eras, Greg Kihn and his band will play on the Fourth Street Stage at 6:30 pm on the Friday. Winning several awards for Entertainer of the Year, Tommy Castro is a world famous blues artist. He delivers blues with an emphasis on rock and with a little soul. His group The Painkillers will be on the Third Street stage at 5:00 pm on Saturday.
Local printing companies will be assisting the event organizers, as well as the vendors, with banner printing, flyers, posters and other materials needed to manage and promote the festival. More information is available on the venue website.
