Hot air balloons to fill the Reno skies in September

One of the country’s largest hot air balloon shows, The Great Reno Balloon Race, is scheduled from September 7 – 9 in Reno, Nevada.

The Rancho San Rafael Park, located just a few miles northwest of the city center, is the place to be for balloon enthusiasts. The races start at early dawn just as the sun is peeking out from behind the beautiful surrounding mountains and visitors should make sure they get up and arrive at the event early to have a good vantage point. Over 100 hot air balloons are expected to participate.

The Glow Show, consisting of all of the balloons lighting up before ascending into the skies, begins at 5:00 am each morning. This year, a fun feature included is the world’s largest pajama party, where attendees are encouraged to wear their pajamas on Saturday from 5:00 am – 10:00 am.

A family friendly event, it usually attracts thousands of visitors and residents throughout the weekend. In addition to the balloon show and races, many other activities are taking place including vendor exhibitions offering drinks, food, and souvenirs.

Events such as these provide opportunities for local printers in providing printing services. Banner, brochure, and poster printing are likely to be standard requirements for the promotion of city-wide events. Often, planners and participants seek the professional assistance from print companies.

The Great Reno Balloon Race has a website with complete information pertaining to the schedule of events, location, parking, and admission. It also has contact information for vendors interested in exhibiting, as well as people wishing to volunteer to assist with this huge event.
