Henderson heats up for the fourth

Residents in Henderson and the surrounding areas are getting excited for the city’s Fourth of July Celebration. The event combines music, activities, and pyrotechnics in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Sponsored by the city of Henderson itself, the celebration boasts one of the best fireworks displays in the Las Vegas area, and consistently ranks at the top of the list of ‘can’t miss’ Independence Day events. The festivities will also include a stage with bands from the area as well as other live entertainment.

For children, bounce houses will be set up in the park as well as areas with games and face painting. Young visitors will also have the chance to visit a craft booth where they can create their own Independence Day-themed hats. Food vendors will also be on hand offering a variety of foods including hamburgers and hot dogs, pizza, and more.

All proceeds from the event go to benefit local high school organizations. This being a family friendly event, the city asks that guests not bring glass containers, alcohol, pets, weapons, or grills.

The Henderson Fourth of July Celebration will be held on July 4 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Park, located at 350 E. Racetrack Rd. Admission to the event is free to the public. Anyone looking for more information should check the flyers or visit the website.
