Fundraiser helps seniors live better lives

April 17, 2017 by

The Bridging the Gap fundraiser is taking place at the end of this month in Lakewood, and is a benefit for the Eaton Senior Communities Foundation.

The evening will start off with a cocktail reception where guests will be served hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. This will be followed by a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and wine cellar sale. Guests will then enjoy a sit-down dinner and a live auction. During dinner, there will be a speech from the executive director of the foundation, David Smart, and two current residents will talk about their experiences with Eaton Senior Communities.

Sponsorships are available for purchase for $1,000, $2,000, and $3,000.

The Eaton Senior Communities Foundation helps to support 197 low-income apartments for seniors subsidized by HUD, as well as 94 assisted living units. The majority of the clients are on low income and rely on Medicaid.

Sponsors of this event will be recognized at the event and in advertising materials such as brochures and flyers that will be distributed to Lakewood residents.

The Bridging the Gap Fundraiser will be held at Eaton Senior Communities on April 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $100 each and are likely to sell quickly. To learn more about this event or the Eaton Senior Communities Foundation, or to become a sponsor, call 303-937-3800.
