The 10th annual German Fest Denver celebration is taking place next month for three days

The event is presented in association with the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, The West Chamber, and the Colorado Rapids. It is a fundraiser for German Fest Denver and the Colorado Folk Arts Council.

The festival is a celebration of German-American heritage and culture. There will be plenty of traditional German food and, of course, a beer garden.

Musical performances with come courtesy of the Jeffco Brass Band, Rick Borger’s AGB, and The Polkanauts. A dance floor will be available to the public. The T.E.V. Edelweiss Schuhplattler dancers will also be performing.

Vendors will be on hand to sell German-related products and food. There will also be arts and crafts for sale such as handmade jewelry, ceramics, and clothing. It is likely that many of the vendors at this Lakewood festival will be handing out free promotional products such as pens, fridge magnets and customized note pads.

Children’s activities will consist of the likes of balloon twisting, face painting, and arts and crafts.

German Fest Denver will be held at the Lakewood Heritage Center from July 21 to 23. Tickets are $7 or $2 for children between the ages of three and nine. For more information about planned activities or entertainment, call 303-097-7850.
