Tierra takes Colorado Springs for a festive spin

The Tierra Christmas Gala is being presented by Stargazers Theatre and Event Center this weekend and features the musical group Tierra, named by the Billboard and four other magazines as the ‘Best R & B Vocal Group’.

This is a great opportunity for people to enjoy some soulful and smooth sounds from a Latino band. The promoters may have used poster and flyer printing to tell people about the band’s scheduled performance.

Tierra started their music career in the east end of Los Angeles and played a blend of salsa, R & B, jazz, pop, and rock, which ended up resulting in such tunes as ‘Soot Suit Boogie’, ‘Memories’, ‘Gonna Find Her’, and ‘Together’. The band has been around for a quarter of a century, showing a heavy dedication to the musical sound. The group can claim the honor of being the first Latino band to have four songs reaching the Top 100 on the national chart, and they have appeared and performed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, American Bandstand, the American Music Awards, and Carnegie Hall.

Tickets for the event cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with a ticket fee also applicable. The Tierra Christmas Gala will be occurring on Saturday, December 14, at the Stargazers Theatre and Event Center located at 10 S. Parkside Drive in Colorado Springs. To learn more about the group or to book tickets, visit the venue’s website or call the box office at 719-476-2200.
