August 1, 2012 by

The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce has a lot going on this month with the imminent 2012 State of the City address, along with yet another information-filled Chamber University workshop.

Members of the professional community are being invited to the 2012 State of the City address on August 9th. Being held right here in Colorado Springs at the Antlers Hilton Hotel, this event will feature Mayor Steve Bach as guest speaker. Among the topics he’ll be speaking to business owners and other members of the public about are the current changes taking place within the municipal government, the creating of jobs, and the ways in which all of this will ultimately benefit the residents of Colorado Springs.

Beginning at 11:30 am and expected to wrap up at around 1:30 pm, the cost of this event has been set at $30 for Chamber members and $40 for guests. Even so, corporate tables are another option that’s available. Since the date is coming up fast, however, interested individuals may want to consider signing up soon.

Five days later on August 14th, Chamber University will present “Choosing the Right Social Media for Your Business”. In the world of online marketing, digital business cards , blogs, and websites are all incredibly useful tools. When it comes to maximizing these resources, however, social media can make a major difference.

Over the course of this presentation, Amanda Blough of InnerSocial Marketing will be explaining how business owners can find the social media platform that’s most compatible with their goals. Slated to go from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, this is another date to watch for.
