Great Wolf Lodge opens in Colorado Springs

Last Friday, January 27, marked the official opening of the Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The resort has actually been operating since December 16 and is the first in the state.

At the ceremony, Ruben Rodriguez, the CEO of the Great Wolf Lodge chain of resorts, cut a ribbon made of goggles and elastic bands to highlight the occasion. The lodge will employ about 450 people.

With the addition of the Colorado Springs location, Great Wolf Lodge now has 14 resorts in operation throughout the country. The lodges are aimed at families and feature an indoor entertainment area comprising 20,000 square feet, and offering activities such as mini bowling, miniature golf, arcade games, and a climbing wall. There are several areas where people can enjoy drinks and dining, as well as gift shops. The lodges set aside additional space for receptions, meetings, and other events.

However, the highlight of the lodges is their water parks. The Colorado Springs lodge has 50,000 square feet where people can swim, splash, explore rides, and generally get wet while having fun. The water park is for overnight guests only, though people who bring parties of 10 or more to the lodge are given passes to the water features.

Facilities like this can benefit when management work with printing companies to create custom pens that guests can take with them as keepsakes.
