Experts to pair wine and art

June 18, 2013 by

‘Art and Wine: Documentation’ is a signature program of the GOCA and will provide people with the opportunity to hear from some outstanding guest speakers, as documentation artists Bill Starr and Matt Chmielarczyk talk about pairing wines with art.

This event includes special vintages provided by Bookcliff Vineyards, which is located on the east side of Palisade in Colorado. As part of this evening, guests will have the chance to taste four of their delicious wines, enjoy some non-alcoholic beverages, and sample some scrumptious hors d’oeurves, all while learning about art and wines from expert artists and winemakers. With art playing a major role, it might also be a great place for graphic designers and printing company workers to head for some fresh ideas.

There will be plenty of sampling opportunities provided throughout the evening, as well as some history on where the grapes are grown, how wine is made, and why it pairs so nicely with the arts. This event is limited to 30 people and is very popular, so advanced ticket purchase is recommended. The sampling is for people over the age of 21 and photo ID may be required.

Tickets for this tasting are $30 for GOCA members and $35 for non-members of the GOCA. The Art and Wine: Documentation will be occurring tomorrow, June 19 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the GOCA 121 located at 121 S. Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado. To learn more about this sampling event, please visit the GOCA website or call 719-255-3504.
