Business After Hours takes place June 21

June 1, 2012 by

With both a Community Business After Hours event and a second Chamber University session to look forward to, there’s plenty for members of the Colorado Springs business community towards the end of the month.

Later in June, Angler’s Covey will be hosting a Community Business After Hours meet-up. Officially starting June 21, business owners and other professionals will have from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm to make a good impression on each other.

Although this time slot may seem generous, it should be pointed out that the Better Business Bureau, the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce, and the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce all have members who are expected to be present. Since attendees are being actively encouraged to come with plenty of business cards, clued-up local professionals will no doubt be in touch with a reputable printing company to discuss the affordability of various plans.

Just five days after the Business After Hours get-together, the Chamber University will be presenting “Weed Out the Facts About Marijuana in the Workplace” on June 26. Starting at 7:30 am and concluding at 9:00 am, this presentation will be going in-depth into the specifics of legal and illegal use of marijuana. Featuring a qualified speaker in Conspire Drug and Alcohol Testing’s Jo McGuire, this presentation will weigh up the rights and responsibilities of employees and discuss the impact of illegal drugs on businesses. With members being charged $5 and guests being expected to pay $15, the fees are also within reason. All interested individuals have to do is register online through the chamber’s website.
