Centennial residents to bowl for charity

March 10, 2014 by

Centennial residents are invited to spend a day at a local bowling alley and raise funds for a good cause.

Towards the end of this month, the Colorado Divas will be hosting a Strike Out Abuse Bowl-a-thon for the benefit of the Mile High Women’s Outreach Center. A print company may have been hired to produce promotional posters or flyers for this event.

Bowlers of all ages and skill levels will be encouraged to participate in the fundraiser. Registration will cost $30 per person. For this price, each attendee will be able to play three games, rent a pair of bowling shoes, and enjoy access to the snack bar. Adult participants will also be eligible to win a two-night getaway to the Lone Tree Country Club and Hotel.

Attendees will be welcome to bowl in teams of four. Some of this year’s groups will be company sponsored, while others will be made up of friends and relatives. All bowlers will be encouraged to raise a $75 donation before the event.

In addition to bowling, those who attend the fundraiser will have the opportunity to take part in a raffle. The proceeds from this activity will also benefit the Outreach Center.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 30 at Celebrity Lanes (15755 East Arapahoe Road). It will run from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Those seeking more information may call (720) 327-4401.
