Vegetarian Thanksgiving cooking class scheduled for Boulder

A cooking class is being offered in Boulder that will give those who participate an opportunity to learn how to skip the traditional turkey and prepare a meat-free Thanksgiving meal.

A variety of dishes will be created, ranging from appetizers through the main course and right on to dessert. The students in the session will be taught to use Escoffier methods, which is an updated version of traditional French culinary techniques. Along with the cooking, the participants will have a chance to socialize and have fun with one another in an atmosphere that allows them to nurture their shared interest in cooking.

Some of the recipes that may be included in the afternoon’s instruction include salads, soup, and dishes based around some of the vegetarian staples like green beans, lentils, and nuts. A catalog printing company can be called upon to produce bound copies of the recipes for all those who participate in an event like this.

The ticket price for the cooking class, which will take place on November 19 at the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, located at 637 S Broadway St. in Boulder, is $99. All are welcome but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
