The LunaFest is a fundraising event that features award-winning short-run films that have been created by women, for women, and about women. This is a traveling festival that makes its way from theater to theater throughout the year.
This year’s LunaFest is presenting nine films that are based on stories related to reflection, humor, and hope. These films are dedicated to highlighting women who create films, raising awareness about issues related to women, and pulling together women in the various communities visited by the LunaFest.
The emcee for this film franzy will be Olivia Ahnemann, who is a documentary film producer with award-winning status, having co-produced the film ‘The Cove’. This is a premier event in this community and the funds raised will benefit the Breast Cancer Society. This series of films is presented in more than 150 cities with more than 200,000 viewers each year.
Poster printing, postcard printing, and flyer printing may have been used to promote this film festival to residents of the community and surrounding regions. Tickets cost $17.50 per person and $12.50 per student. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
The LunaFest is coming up this Thursday, October 11, starting at 7:00 pm. It will be held at the Boulder Theatre located at 2032 14th Street in Boulder, Colorado.
