Boulder eatery to host special dining event

Boulder foodies may wish to mark their calendars for a special event that has been planned for a local eatery.

Frasca Food and Wine will be hosting its 10th annual White Truffle and Barolo Dinner. The meal, which has been organized to kick off the start of the winter holiday season, will feature white truffles and other foods prepared by Chef Missy Robbins. She has worked at various locations across Italy and now owns her own Brooklyn-based restaurant named Lilia. She was also granted the title of ‘Best New Chef’ by Food and Wine in 2010.

Winemaker Roberto Voerzio will be supplying the beverages for the meal. Just 4,000 cases of wine were produced by his vineyard, which, according to the event’s organizers, has one of the lowest fruit yields in Barolo and makes his wine a prized asset. A stationery printing service will be able to print high-quality copies of the menu and other items for an evening like this.

The White Truffle and Barolo Dinner will be held on December 12 and 13 at Frasca Food and Wine, which is located at 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder. The ticket price, which includes wine, selections from the truffle tasting menu, taxes, and gratuities, is $895 each. Only four guests will be served each evening, so those who wish to participate are advised to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
