Longview hit by zombies this weekend
October 12, 2012 by Sarah
Guests should get ready to outmaneuver, outwit, duck, hide, and run from opponents who are taking to the streets tomorrow, October 13, as ‘Apocalypse 2012: Zombies Invade Longview’ wreaks havoc upon downtown Longview.
It takes place in the form of a footrace – part tag and part zombie apocalypse – and will last an enduring two and a half hours as guests make their way from the start, through four checkpoints, to the finish, no doubt breathless by the end.
This is a huge event with more than 1,600 people expected to register. Players of this game must be 12 years of age or older and, if under 18, must have parents’ permission and ID on the day they come to register for the event. Each team is limited to 10 armbands, which will be available at registration check-in. All registrations must be completed online and there are no refunds available to those who cannot attend. Please provide your receipt upon check-in. Those who cannot attend can pass their arm bands to people of the same age.
Digital poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this marvelous madness to people in the area and surrounding regions. Registration costs $13.50 per person the day of registration, if positions are open. The event will take place tomorrow from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, starting in downtown Longview at 1318 Commerce Avenue in Longview, Washington. To register or, learn more, please visit the 2012 Apocalypse page on Facebook.
