Oregon begins to hear Rumours

March 26, 2013 by

A farcical new play has cropped up in the area and is all about letting locals have a great time and laugh themselves silly.

This play, called ‘Rumours’ is focused on making the audience chuckle incessantly and features a stellar cast of actors having a great time entertaining.

‘Rumours’ was written by Neil Simon and is being directed by Joe Theissen. This is a story about a New York Deputy Mayor who has shot himself while waiting for a gathering of people who have come to help him and his wife celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. After the incident, he lies in agony in a room where there will be no party-goers, and his loving wife cannot be found anywhere.

The Deputy Mayor’s lawyer and his loving wife, Chris, must get the story figured out before the guests arrive to enjoy the festivities. Despite the seemingly dark subject matter, this actually makes for a light-hearted and comical play, so do not be surprised to see poster printing carried out to promote it locally.

Admission is $30 per adult, and $27 per senior, and discount tickets are offered for students and groups planning to attend. Rumours is running from Thursdays through Sundays right up until April 14 at the Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon, just down the road from Tigard. To purchase tickets or preview the performance schedule, please visit the Lakewood Center for the Arts website or call the box office.
