Sugar Land sweetens up with tree ceremony
November 27, 2012 by Mark
The 10th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Sugar Land provides guests with a magnificent evening of live entertainment. A great way to kick off the Christmas holiday season, the highlight of this holiday event is, of course, the arrival of Santa Claus as he greets and listens to one and all. With Christmas lists, greeting cards, and gift tags all needed in abundance, Christmas is an excellent time to be involved with, or to consult, a print company.
This year’s annual tree lighting ceremony will feature an impressive 40-foot Christmas tree that has been decorated ready to light up this special evening with family and friends. Santa will arrive to make this a special evening for the little ones, while older audiences will enjoy the combination of audio presentations and theatrics, involving this community’s most famous performers. There will even be live juggling elves that are certain to capture the attention of everyone who passes by as they travel the various streets in Town Square. The local retailers will host activity stations where children can enjoy some hands-on activities and fun. Area restaurants will be providing delicious treats to purchase as well.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Sugar Land’s 10th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be happening on Thursday, December 6, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Sugar Land Town Square located in downtown Sugar Land, Texas. To preview the schedule of performers and entertainment, please visit the Parks and Recreation Department’s website or call the office at 281-275-2885.
Sugar Land presents Halloween Town
October 25, 2012 by Mark
The City of Sugar Land is pleased to present its annual Halloween Town where spooks, frights, and fun will be the call of the evening in the Sugar Land Town Square. All little ghosts
, goblins, witches, princesses, and superheroes are invited to put their costumes on and bring the rest of the family, including pets, to this great fun family time.
This year, many fun Halloween characters will be wandering around the Sugar Land Town Square tempting children of all ages to join in the fun at many activity stations located around the square. There will also be games and attractions for the children that have been sponsored by local businesses and organizations. This is a family-fun event that is both safe and an alternative to trick-or-treating on the streets. The organizers request for no scary or bloody horror elements to be on show, as there are many young children at this event.
Kids and their pets are invited to enter the Sugar Land Halloween Town’s annual costume contest and try to win prizes. This year candy will be available from the Cannon areas at both ends of the ‘City Walk’ drive, which will offer candy every half hour. There is much more planned for this event, so please visit the website.
Poster printing and flyer printing were most likely used to advertise and promote Halloween Town to the residents of this community and surrounding communities. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The Sugar Land Halloween Town open this Sunday, October 28 at 4:00 pm and runs until 8:00 pm in the Sugar Land Town Square, located in downtown Sugar Land, Texas.
