Early start for holiday ideas with artistic show

September 23, 2012 by

Christmas may be a while away yet but ultra-organized shoppers might find some inspiration at the Buckler Arts and Crafts Show, take place over a two-day period at the Lakeland Center in a couple of weeks’ time

There will be lots of artists and crafters taking part in the show, mostly selling handmade and unique items such as stained glass, baskets, pet items, jewelry, pottery, furniture, fine art, and garden decorations. There will no doubt be an opportunity to find the perfect and unique gift for a friend or family member.

While most of the items sold at the show will be handmade by the artist or crafter who is selling them, while some will have been created by a third party. Artisans who do sell their own handmade items can rent a 10 x 5 space for $90 while those selling others’ items can rent a 10 x 10 space for $245.

Artists and crafters will be coming from all over the region, probably including nearby Plant City, as will those looking for something to buy. Vendors will more than likely be working with local printing companies to help themselves prepare for the show, with banner printing and flyer printing likely to be the orders of the day.

Admission is $6 for adults and children aged 12 and under are admitted free for this event, which takes place on October 6 – 7 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm each day. Adults who bring a non-perishable food donation will get in for half-price. For more information, call Bucker Promotions at 386-860-6157.
