Coral Springs Christmas celebrates the big 50

December 3, 2012 by

The holiday season is here at last and communities everywhere are lighting Christmas trees, decorating their homes, and holding holiday parades to celebrate the joy of the season. Coral Springs is no different and it has even more to celebrate this year in that the city is beginning celebrations of its 50th anniversary.

The Coral Springs holiday parade will feature floats, marching bands, and community groups. It promises to be a great way to get into the feeling of the holiday seasons and no doubt Santa Claus will make an appearance.

Local businesses can take part in the parade or sponsor a group for as little as $150. Each business will be allowed to feature a banner or sign with their company name or logo on their float, or to be carried by a walking group. No doubt they will be availing themselves of Coral Springs printing companiesbanner printing and sign printing services to provide those items. Vendors can also apply to set up booths along the parade route. Fees are $30 for non-profit organizations and $75 for profit-making companies. Food will be available for sale at various booths.

Prior to the parade, the Fun Run will take place. Fees are $25 for adults and $15 for those aged 17 and under.

Holiday Parade 2012: A Historic Journey will take place on Sample Road from Coral Springs Drive and City Hall on December 12, beginning at 7:00 pm, while the Fun Run gets off and running at 6:00 pm. For more information, call 954-345-2112.
