Sunday singing to get Hamilton in tune

October 19, 2012 by

Hamilton folk can find their voice this weekend with the Sing-Along Concert by Tom Glover, featuring songs of inspiration, faith, and love by such artists as Perry Como, Joni James, and Rosemary Clooney. This is a simple program that revisits the musical eras from the 1930s through the 1970s.

Performer Tom Glover began six years ago by presenting a simple program of music on Sunday afternoons in the Kuser Park Gazebo. Since that time, the performer has compiled and played a huge database of collected music from those eras so that people can sing along, or just sit back and enjoy the music.

This program is usually considered an old-fashioned piano sing-along, where the computer provides the music and Glover, using a microphone, leads the sing-along. Over the years, the audience has enjoyed this performance and each year new people attend to enjoy it. Many dance to it, while others enjoy listening to the music of such performers as Billy Joel, Elvis Presley, and Danny and the Juniors. This event is for all age groups.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to notify residents that Tom Glover is back again and will be leading his special version of the sing-along. This concert is free to all and will be happening this Sunday, October 21, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Kuser Mansion Gazebo located at 390 Newkirk Avenue in Hamilton, New Jersey. Reservations are required, so to reserve a spot, please visit the Kuser Mansion website or call the Kuser Mansion office at 609-890-3630 during normal business hours.
