Governor’s Luncheon on its way in October

October 8, 2012 by

With both a seminar on the Boston Retinal Implant Project coming up and the 22nd Annual Governor’s Luncheon following shortly after, East Haven’s business community has all sorts of options at its disposal over the course of the next few weeks.

Out of these two events, the first one has been going under the full title ‘Restoring Useful Vision to the Blind: The Boston Retinal Implant Project’. Beginning at 5:30 pm on August 17th, this two-hour presentation will explore the ways in which the Boston Retinal Implant Project has aims to work towards giving those suffering from degenerative eye conditions like age-related macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa a second chance at normal living.

Featuring video and PowerPoint, residents are sure to find something interesting and informative by going to North Haven and seeing what advances have been made in this area.

On a professional front, business owners stand to gain quite a bit from attending the 22nd Annual Governor’s Luncheon on October 25. Being hosted at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale in New Haven, Governor Malloy will be recognizing the efforts of the companies that have put effort towards making Connecticut a better place for youth.

With executives and other community leaders expected to be present here, there will certainly be no harm in prospective attendees considering the advantages of coming with a good supply of business card printing in hand. Starting at 11:30 am and wrapping up at around 1:30 pm, being present may be its own reward.
