East Haven book sale on the way

August 29, 2016 by

Residents of East Haven and the communities that surround it are invited to show their support for a local cultural institution while purchasing some new reading material.

The Friends of the East Haven Hagaman Memorial Library will be hosting its annual book sale as part of the East Haven Fall Festival. A wide variety of books and other printed materials, as well as artisan baked goods, will be available for purchase. There will also be an opportunity to buy a raffle ticket to win an Italian-themed gift basket. Digital copying can be used by a printing professional to produce promotional materials for fundraising events such as this.

Funds that are raised through the sale will be used to help provide financial support to the library’s continued efforts to expand and improve its facilities and services. Along with this function, the group holds events, such as book signings, theater programs, guest speakers, and art appreciation workshops that help the public to learn more about the facility and what it can offer the community.

The book sale will be held on the Town Green on September 9, running from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. On September 10, it will be open from 10:00am to 9:00pm and on September 11, it will run from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Further information can be found on its website.
