Shelter from the Storm to rumble in next month
February 14, 2013 by James
‘Shelter from the Storm’ an exciting annual event held to benefit the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury, has set a date in March for its 2013 Gala.
The event is intended to bring light to the dedication the organization has made to bring support and services to women in Northern Fairfield, Southern Litchfield County, and surrounding areas since 1975. With the help of generous donors each year, the Women’s Center is able to provide critical services to women and children who need assistance.
Shelter from the Storm will mark its 11th annual gala by honoring Eileen Walker of Ridgefield – a Women’s Center Advisory Council Member who has contributed much to the success of the Women’s Center over the years. The event will hold live and silent auctions and a raffle, the proceeds of which will benefit the organization and its goals.
The raffle’s grand prize includes seven luxurious nights at Esperanza Resort and Spa in Los Cabos, Mexico with airfare for two and an American Express Gift Card worth $1,000. The drawing for the event’s raffle will be held at 9:30 pm at the event site, but winners need not be present to claim their prize.
The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury might want to consider using print companies or flyer printing services to further promote their event to surrounding communities.
The evening’s celebrations will be held at The Amber Room, Danbury, on Friday, March 8, starting at 6:30pm. To find out more or to purchase tickets for $125 each, call (203) 731-5200. Please note that purchases must be made before February 22.
